Start Your Photography Collection For Less Than £100

Rising from the Rubble by Toni Peach

Photography Collections don't have to cost a fortune. In fact, many collectors look for something new and original that catches their eye and doesn't cost a lot. Star of this year's John Lewis Christmas Advert, Sir Elton John, is a well-known photography collector. An exhibition of his collection, The Radical Eye: Modernist Photography from the Sir Elton John Collection’ was a recent smash at the Tate and has been turned into a book

He extols the virtues of finding the unusual and new:

I often go around private galleries and collections and I see all the big obvious photographs by the masters, which are great, but I’m thinking, where is your personal selection? Where is the art that cost $150? …That’s the great thing about photography – you can walk into a gallery and see something that’s really beautiful and inspiring and it will cost you, well, 500 quid.

Many of our prints are available for less than £100.
